After giving your crop the best possible start, do a plant sap test once your crop has enough leaf surface. Sap tests are like a blood test and give you insight into what the crop needs right now — not once a deficiency has already settled in, like with a plant tissue test. Make any corrections if needed and prevent hidden deficiencies from compounding into the season.

I can interpret the test result for you and tell you the root cause — such as overfertilising a specific nutrient, which often limits yields more than you think due to antagonistic relationships. I help you identify this so you can cut input costs.

Foliar applications are an excellent way to optimise photosynthesis and help soil biology regenerate faster. But getting most of it absorbed by the leaf can be difficult. pH, EC and point of deliquescence have huge impacts on the efficiency.

I'm able to analyse your current product catalogue and formulate the best tank mix — based on your sap test results, or more generically based on the nutrients that are known to be critical during the Critical Points of Influence of your crop.

Healthy crops can be completely resistant to pests and diseases. When doing sap testing, I can tell you exactly which pests and diseases you've built natural resistance against — for example, by seeing whether your crop is converting all nitrate and ammonium into complex proteins.

Reduce crop protection products where they're not needed. If you're not doing sap testing, I can also give generic foliar recommendations proven to increase crop health and resistance. This is about managing with nutrition, instead of the downward trajectory of toxins which harm farm productivity.
